For the time being we have a Virtual Academy every Tuesday filled with wonderful educational, social, and fun opportunities as well as the opportunity to interact with some of our favorite artists and composers. We welcome you to join us!

Meet the Artist: Webinar with Jesse Pieper professional pianist in New York former Fond du Lac High School student. 

Jesse will talk about the musical journey he has taken to get to New York, life for a professional musician in New York during this pandemic, AND he will perform a couple of songs just for us!  It is going to be a great night! We will open the meeting at 6:50 pm and will begin the conversation with Jesse at 7:00 pm. The event should last approximately one hour.

Sing-A-Long: Join in for our second virtual Sing A-Long!

Our Virtual Academy is back Tuesday with our second Sing A-Long of the semester!  We have added some songs so we aren't repeating the same songs as last time.  Since we have WARM weather right now, it will be a Hawaiian Theme Night!  Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt, leigh, hat, shorts, or sandals. In addition, be sure to have your best Blue Hawaiian, Pina Cola or Mai Tai drink in hand.  We will be scrolling the words on the screen and you can sing along from the comfort of your own home, Hawaiian style!  It is going to be so much fun!  Here is the schedule and meeting information.

 

Tuesday, November 10

6:50-7:10 pm  - The meeting will open up and people will have the opportunity to socialize with one another.

7:10 pm - Instructions will be given 

7:15-8:15 pm - Sing A-Long

8:15-8:30 pm - We will keep the meeting open for socializing with one another.

Meet the Composer: Webinar with Dan Forrest Professional composer Composer of Requiem for the Living

We are so excited for this week's Virtual Academy as we will be having a conversation with composer, Dan Forrest.  Dan is an internationally acclaimed composer whose choral works have been performed by millions of people across the globe.  He will be joining us on Tuesday, November 17 from 7:00-8:00 pm.  We will get a glimpse into his life as a composer, how Covid has affected his career, and dig into his large work - Requiem for the Living.  It will be a great night that you will not want to miss!

Listening Session: Guided Listening Session of Requiem for the Living

After last week's amazing session with composer, Dan Forrest, I am thrilled to have this Tuesday's session.  We will be briefly unpacking Dan's session, then listening to the entire Requiem for the Living, as well as his Shalom.  We have found a way to scroll the music for you while we listen to the music.  You can just sing along from home, or just follow along and listen.

The session will be open at 6:45 pm to allow people to chat with one another.  We will begin the session at 7:00 pm.  The session will be kept open for some time at the end of the session if people want to socialize with one another.
